This weekend has been a whirlwind of activity and it all felt like a choreographed dance because truly everything was planned and timed to happen, at least in my head. LOL It all started Saturday morning with a 3rd showing for a couple that was very interested at 9am. Then the realtor held an open house from 10-12. What can happen in a 2 hour period right?? Well there were 5 different groups that came through and a home inspector that was very impressed with the house. 2 of the groups were very interested and the others showed some interest. One of the couples wanted to come back Sunday morning with their mother as she would be living with them. Our agent also received a couple calls from agents, one who never came to the house but had questions, as his buyer came through at the open house. Once the open house was over, we came back with a moving truck and loaded up all the boys stuff and moved them to my mom's house. We got them all set up and came back and soaked our aching bodies in the hot tub one last time. Not sure I even remember my head hitting the pillow that night! Sunday morning we received an offer from the buyer who came through the open house without his agent. Less than what we were hoping for but would consider countering. The interested party came through with their mom right after we had folks come pick up some furniture they wanted to buy. While they were going through the house a second time, we were on our way to see Avengers with the boys. We really need a diversion from all the crazy house happenings. By the time we got out of the movie, our agent had a second offer from the couple and their mom with a passionate, heart-string tugging letter and a counter from the first buyer, since he heard we had another offer come in. Lets just say the first buyers counter was a hands down winner! We ended up accepting his counter and we were now under contract! I can tell you Sunday night I really never felt my head hit the pillow and slept like a baby! Monday, Rick and I needed to move our items out to the RV because the Estate Sale folks were coming at 9am sharp on Tuesday and everything else left in the house would then be part of the sale. It took us all day to go through everything and pair down to what we would need...not want. Remember, we have to watch the weight we put into the RV as not to go over our weight restrictions. Finally at 9pm we called it quits and went to get dinner. We felt pretty accomplished! It was a very long day but we got it done. Early Tuesday morning I went in and bagged up all our towels, blankets and toiletries we were not going to take so we could donate them to a Military Veterans home. Can you believe over 15 sets of towels and that was after we gave some to the boys??? Wow, amazing what you accumulate! Well the hard stuff is done. Now we will sit back and hope for a successful Estate Sale this weekend and then all the home inspections start. We are feeling pretty good about those going well as we have kept up on everything that needed to be done. Search Amazon Here
