For those that are unaware, we have purchased a 2018 Grand Design Solitude 375RES 42 ft 5th wheel. You can read more about it and see pictures here.
OUTSIDE ACCESSORIES AND UPGRADES
Suspension Upgrade- The biggest outside upgrade was our independent suspension and disc brakes. We have seen a difference in the ride and stopping power and are very pleased with the upgrade. You can read about that here.
Outside TV- One of the first things we did is to install an outside TV in our front passenger side bay. We had an outside TV in our previous camper and liked watching movies and sports outside. We decided on a 42 inch Samsung on a swing arm in our front bay. This has been in the RV 2+ years now and has traveled some pretty rough roads without any issues! We also have replaced the other two TV's inside with Samsung Smart TV's. We are now able to mirror shows off of our Samsung phones from apps using our unlimited data without any issues.
Cleaning the RV- To keep the the rig shining bright we use Wash and Wax All system. Rick has really gotten the rv washing down to a science. He uses Bugs n All on the front cap and anywhere else we have bug debris. We did originally invest in the whole Wash and Wax All kit that included an awesome double sided extension pole and microfiber pads that attach, where you wash with one side and dry with the other. Did I mention this kit does not use water??? You can wash your rig in any rv park since you aren't using water.
Campfire Grill- We love to cook over an open fire and this grill really does the trick. We have had this one way before going full time and it is still going strong! Love the little edge around it so the hot dogs don't roll off!
Log turner- Another key tool for the fire is an awesome log turner and we cannot recommend this one enough!!! It is easy to grab and is another tool we have had since waaayy before we went full time.
Bug Relief- Thermacells are our friend and have done a great job keeping away the pests! We have both the lantern for the table and the portable ones with cases that we usually hang on our camp chairs around the fire.
Screen Tent- In order to enjoy the outdoors more without being eaten alive by mosquitos, horse flies or noseeums, we invested in a CLAM Quick Set Shelter and really enjoy spending time in there, even in cold weather! We purchased the largest model that fits most all picnic tables inside with room to move and it also has the wind flaps that can come down and protect from the cold, wind and rain, making it another room.
